End of Payroll Year/New Year Workshop 2013

This one day training workshop is designed to facilitate users’ completion of the 2012/13 tax year and commence 2013/14.

Topics covered will relate the latest software functionality within Safe Computing’s products as well as details of changes in payroll processing in the new tax year.

Effective Year End Procedures
“Best Practice” techniques to improve data quality – The HMRC “Quality Standard”
The effect of the “Quality Standard” on in-year forms and user experience in inheriting data from other systems
Changes to processes following Real Time Information
Feedback from HMRC on how successful our users’ submissions have been in the last year
Learning from common mistakes and experience of earlier years
Closing the 2012/2013 tax year
Starting the 2013/2014 Tax Year
Creating the Payroll Calendar automatically
Modifying Tax Codes – the correct sequence
Differences to look for in 2013/14
Changes to PAYE and NI parameters and what they mean
Changes in SAP, SSP, SPP and SMP rates
Full Statutory Payment calculation at the start of year
End of Year Return Submission
Original Return and how to make a subsequent amendment to a submitted End of Year Return
Changes coming in 2013 including Pension Reform and Auto Enrolment

The cost of the session is �350.00 plus VAT for each attendee. Lunch will be provided.

You should be aware that dedicated workshops on Pensions and Auto Enrolment and Real Time Information with HMRC are available and those sessions will deal with these subjects in more depth than this workshop.
