Social Media and the Law:
What Every Small Business Should Know

A good social media strategy is important to drive sales to a business, but small businesses must follow the law of advertising, email, endorsements, collection of customer data and use of social media by employees, or they can be subject to fines, lawsuits, and in some cases, prosecution. In this seminar, we will identify the requirements of some of the major areas of concern for a small business’s social media program.

Get answers to these questions:

o    What are the rules of advertising?
o    What are the special rules for digital advertising?
o    When do endorsements require disclosures?
o    What is your responsibility when you collect customer data on your website?
o    Do you have any responsibility when your employee posts on social media?
o    What can happen if a business violates the law?
