Creswell's 4th of July Parade!

3The Creswell Chamber of Commerce Board, staff, and volunteers are excited to host the 4th of July Celebration. We look forward to working together with the community to make Creswell “The Place To Be On The 4th of July!”

Since 1992, the Fourth of July has been the most exciting and energetic day of the year in Creswell, with long-held traditions and celebrations of the red, white, and blue. This year, with the help of our community, we are excited to once again host the 4th of July festivities that we all know and love.

The Creswell 4th of July Parade and Celebration is organized by an all-volunteer nonprofit committee of Creswell citizens. We welcome individuals, floats, businesses, student groups, non-profits, and animal groups to enter the parade. A modest fee for entrants will support the event expenses; donations are welcomed.

It is the mission of the volunteer Creswell Chamber Parade Committee to organize and present to the people of Creswell and the surrounding area an annual event that will capture the spirit of our independence, connect and unify our community and bring a feeling of fun and excitement to participants and viewers alike.

People of varied and diverse belief systems are cordially invited and welcome to participate in the parade, so long as entrants:

  • participate in the warm, friendly and positive spirit of the 4th of July,

  • are non-divisive, and

  • contribute to goodwill, unity and the building up of our wonderful community

Most of all… Let's Have Fun!

Entry Rules: These need to be followed to ensure we all have a safe and fun day.

  1. Speed limit: 5mph.
  2. Candy should be handed out by people walking next to the sidewalks.
  3. Do not throw anything from your entry.
  4. Water – Do NOT spray indiscriminately; many people do not want to get wet. Adults must directly supervise all water use. You are responsible for damage to property (electronics especially).
  5. Watch for kids running into the parade route.
  6. Keep a safe distance from the entry in front of you.
  7. The parade route needs to keep moving to prevent gaps between entries.
  8. Maximum entry length is 45’.
  9. All animal entries must provide their own clean up. If clean up is not provided, you will not be allowed to join the parade.

FEES: $10 for individual / non-profit and $25 for commercial entries. Deadline to enter is June 30, 2022, however space is limited and entries will likely fill much earlier.

Check in and staging is located at Creswell High School (CHS), 33390 Niblock Lane. Check in is from 9:00-10:30 A.M. The High School lot is for parade entries only as there is no exit prior to the start of the parade. If you need to drop off someone, please go to Creslane Elementary or let them out on Holbrook Lane.
