Alaska Christian College Announces

 the ten-year anniversary

Reunion and Renewal Weekend

May 12-15, 2011

Yes, it is happening! ACC alumni and staff will gather for a spirit-filled weekend designed to RENEW relationships with each other and with the Lord. We are desiring that as many as possible come to celebrate what God has done through ACC in these last ten years. Mark your calendar now and plan to be here for the fun and for the encouragement of your spirit.

Who can come?

Former students and their families (spouses and children), staff, and volunteers are welcome to attend. If you attended ACC at any time, for any length of time, we consider you part of our family and want you to join us for this exciting time of celebration and renewal. We will have volunteers to be with children of participants during the worship times.

Where will we stay?

Participants will be housed primarily on campus. Some may be housed in staff or alumni homes, depending on the number of participants. We will serve meals beginning Thursday night at supper through Sunday lunch at the Peninsula Conference Center on campus. If you wish to stay with friends in the area or arrange some other option, that is fine. You'll just need to let us know you won't need housing on the registration form.

What will it cost?

The suggested donation amount for the entire weekend is $100 or ($25 a day if you are only attending for part of the weekend) per person. Children ages 4 and older:  $25 for the entire weekend. We've called it a "suggested donation" because we don't want anyone to not come because of the registration cost. However, we will have expenses related to food (we have a first-class chef and kitchen staff), gas and transportation, Nikiski pool rental fees, and other miscellaneous supply costs associated with providing an excellent event. We know that many of you will need to spend a lot just to make it to Soldotna, so we ask you to give what you can for the expense and come even if you are not able to pay for the registration. You can pay with credit card, check or cash when you arrive, or in advance, if you have the money before hand and want to give it before you spend it. You can send money to the ACC office or pay with a credit card through the ACC website (www.akcc.org). Select the "donate now" tab and fill out the form selecting "Wish List" as donation type and type "reunion".  Click here to pay now.

What will we be doing?

We will strive to plan the weekend with a schedule that will give you time to worship together in large group gatherings, process and reflect in smaller discussion groups, and have plenty of free time for reconnecting, recreating and enjoying each other. Among things planned are a banquet, a beach bon-fire, Nikiski pool outing, and other optional free-time activities. There will be elective seminars on Saturday that you can choose from to help you explore areas of faith, discipleship and relationships in the life season you are in now. We will have our first alumni association meeting and kick-off a new alumni care initiative. You will participate in worship in music, prayer, communion and  testimony and will hear inspiring messages from God's word. You'll have a chance to get the "insiders" tour of campus and marvel at the way God is growing the campus and ministry and hear of how God is leading ACC forward for the coming years and how you can be an going part of God's work.

How do I register? Is there a deadline?

All registrations are being processed on-line through this web-page. Click the "Register Now!" tab. You'll receive a confirmation email once it is complete. To ensure you have a spot on-campus, the registration deadline is April 15. You are welcome to come and register after April 15, but you may have to arrange your own housing if we are at maximum capacity by then. If you register before March 15,  your name will be entered into an early-bird prize drawing. Please fill out the registration if you think there's any chance you'll be coming. You can always cancel if you need to. It really helps us with planning to know ahead of time who may be coming. You do not need to pay anything when you register.

Other Questions?

Feel free to email Kristi Ivanoff at kristi@akcc.org of you have any other questions about the weekend.
