Please join us for the 8th Annual Maryland Charter School Conference in Baltimore on Friday, April 8, 2011

The Maryland Charter School conference is the only statewide gathering of the entire Maryland charter school community- where you will be energized and inspired by the speakers and awards, will find learning tracks focused on significant topics and issues; 17 different workshops you can attend; the latest products from our vendors; and the best networking opportunities available to the Maryland Charter School community.

 

Conference Speakers: Key Note-Steve Barr, Founder of Green Dot Schools and  Dr. Andres Alonso, CEO, Baltimore City Public Schools. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake welcomes attendees to Baltimore.

  

We are expecting over 150 charter school advocates including administrators, board members, founders, teachers authorizers, and policy makers. There will also be 30 exhibitors showcasing products relating to charter schools in the Resource Fair. There will be lots of drawings for prizes.

 

The conference theme is Charter Schools as a Vehicle for Educational Reform - Creating High Performing Charter Schools

Charter Schools' innovations and dedicated leadership and staff will be celebrated with an Awards Ceremony.  There will be something for everyone at this year’s conference!  

There will be 17 breakout sessions as well as an awards ceremony.The four breakout session strands are:

  • Increasing Student Achievement (educators, teachers)
  • Improving Charter Operations and Governance (Board and School Leaders)
  • Developing New Charter Schools (Founders, Developers)
  • Advocacy, Promotion and Fundraising (General)

Registration:  On-Line registration is now closed. The Conference Rate is $225 at the door on April 8th. 

Parking validation s included with the registration fee if you park on the designated garage:

Parking: You must park in one of the designated garages to receive validation for your parking. The Kornblatt PARK-IT Garage is located at 200 St. Paul Place.  When St. Paul St splits, bear right, that is St. Paul Place. The garage is off St.Paul Place and corner of Lexington St. It says PARK-IT at the entrance.  If you are an exhibitor or presenter, please park in the garage stated in your correspondence.


All requests for refunds must be made in writing and received by the MCSN by March 15, 2011. Refunds will be issued 90 days after the conclusion of conference.
