This production was written by two Minnesotans, Lance Belville and Eric Peltoniemi. The production explores the lives of six 19th and 20th century Midwestern women, focusing on their feelings and reactions to the movement that led to the passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution. In this play they examine many topics and show the tremendous drive of these characters to gain equality for all women. This story is told by a traveling country band of women who draw from the strength and character of their grandmas and great-grandmas to tell the story of the plain women on the farms in this area.
