Dear MBTA Member,

Since 1939, the MBTA has been a non-partisan voice for investment in a safe, efficient transportation system for Maine. With 700 members representing municipalities, businesses and individuals from all walks of life, we advocate for funding of a multimodal transportation system – air, highway, bridge, rail, port, transit, bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure – to serve communities and citizens throughout the state. 

Every year, we host events to raise awareness of the need for public investment in Maine’s transportation infrastructure. Our events are attended by a diverse group of business, community and state leaders and provide a forum for open discussion of transportation-related issues.

The world of events has changed during the past two years, but we are fortunate that MBTA was able to host lively virtual exchanges and important discussions relating to the transportation industry in Maine. We hope that soon we all can gather outside of Zoom meetings!

MBTA events also offer us an opportunity to raise funds to support the MBTA activities and causes that are important to us as a group. For example:

• Sponsorships from our regional forums, the Fall Outing and the Fall Golf Tournament support MBTA operations and help keep our dues low;
• Sponsorships for other events, such as the MBTA Infrastructure Fund Golf Classic in July, support efforts that are central to our mission – public funding of our infrastructure; and 
• Special scholarship sponsorships for our Holiday/Scholarship Meeting enable scholarship recipients' families to attend the recognition event honoring their students. 

Please read through this information and let us know what sponsorships you may like to reserve in 2022. For your information, since MBTA co-sponsors the Maine Transportation Conference with MaineDOT and Maine Section ASCE, we do not include Maine Transportation Conference Sponsorships in this packet; that information will be available in the fall.
