The panel will be moderated by Wayne Ehrisman, PhD, ABPP. The panel will discuss the challenges of working as a therapist in community mental health settings.

ABOUT THE PANEL
Larry M. Rosenberg, PhD - A psychoanalytically oriented psychologist in independent practice in Stamford, CT. He is the current President of the Board of the Section for Child and Adolescent Psychoanalysis of the Psychoanalytic Division of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Rosenberg is a co-editor of the Child Section of the 2nd Edition of Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual. He was a participant in a 2015 retrospective roundtable on effective elements of psychoanalysis published in the American Journal of Psychoanalysis and is co-editor of Progress in Psychoanalysis: Envisioning the Future of the Profession, to be release in May 2018.
Steven Spitz, PhD - Dr. Spitz has a long affiliation with the Westchester Center for the study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy and has recently completed his tenure as its director. Dr. Spitz is currently teaching in both the psychoanalytic and adult psychotherapy programs at the Westchester Center. Over the years he has written on a variety of topics including the creative use of the therapeutic relationship (JICAP, 2006), the use of the Rorschach in diagnosing children, and patients' use of the internet. Dr. Sptiz maintains a private practice with children, adolescents and adults in Mt. Kisco, NY and Stamford, CT.
Joshua Essery, PsyD, ABPP - Director of Psychological Services for Clarity Child Guidance Center. Dr. Essery provides outpatient family, group and individual psychotherapy as well as psychological assessment services. He is involved in the supervision and training of psychology residents at Clarity CGC and is a Clinical Professor in the Psychiatry Department at UT Health SA.
Ashley Powell, PhD - Program Manager of the Cyndi Taylor Krier Juvenile Correctional Treatment Center - Girls Program and the Mission Road Center - Weekend Program, Bexar County Juvenile Probation.
Eboney Jackson, PhD - Adjunct faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Health SA and provides clinical supervision for pre-doctoral clinical psychology interns. Dr. Jackson currently works at the San Antonio State Hospital as unit director on an intensive inpatient adult psychiatric unit, and has been in private practice for the past two years providing consultation and psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults.
Wayne Ehrisman, PhD, ABPP - Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, and former Director of Psychological Services at Clarity CGC, with longstanding interests in the application of Psychoanalytic theory to the treatment of children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Ehrisman continues to contribute to the training of clinical staff and psychology residents at Clarity CGC and UT Health San Antonio, as well as maintaining a private practice in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
