About the Featured Speaker:

Dr. Robert S. Kaplan is the world’s leading authority on strategic performance measurement. He is a co-founder of both Palladium and its predecessor firm, Balanced Scorecard Collaborative, and currently advises practitioners on emerging best practices and speaks at events around the world. Kaplan and his frequent co-author, Dr. Michael Porter, have led the way in discussing how institutions can better measure the true costs of health care.

Professor Kaplan has authored or co-authored 14 books, 20 Harvard Business Review articles, and more than 150 other papers. Kaplan has received the Lifetime Contribution Award for Distinguished Contributions to Advancing the Management Accounting Profession from the Institute of Management Accountants and the Lifetime Contribution Award from the Management Accounting Section of the American Accounting Association. The Financial Times included him in its 2005 list of Top 25 Business Thinkers. The Accenture Institute for Strategic Change has twice named him among the Top 50 Thinkers and Writers on Management Topics.

Professor Kaplan received a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in operations research from Cornell University.
