The AdvancingEducation Program, a partnership between the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGCS) and Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE), is designed to bolster innovation in Ontario’s public education system by matching system needs with innovative products and services through partnerships between public education organizations and Ontario companies. The aim is to advance edtech innovation through investments in collaborative innovation procurement projects, which demonstrate new technologies in a public sector setting in order to build a strong case for adoption, and system-wide scaling.
This program will support up to 10 demonstration projects, with up to $250,000 available per demonstration project requiring a 1:1 matching cash and in-kind contribution from the project partners.
The AdvancingEducation Partnering Forum will provide insight into some of the challenges and opportunities in Ontario public education which may be addressed using innovative technologies, and allow educators and innovators to initiate collaborative partnerships with the potential to apply for AdvancingEducation funding support.
