The world, the United States - and now the League of Women Voters - is changing. Learn what the future holds, in terms of the national, the state and your local League! It's about advocacy, it's about membership, it's about shaping our democracy.
The incoming LWVCT President will be the speaker and share her vision for a new and vibrant League.
The two break-out sessions are:
- Preview of Advocacy 101 – Making advocacy more flexible, guidelines for social media, evaluating and creating new affiliations, general outline of best practices for effective advocacy, 10 Minute Activists, Constituent Callers, Constant Contact, as well as:
Ideas for issues on the horizon
Gerrymandering
Voter Registration – Transparency and Compliance
- Engaging New Members – Reaching out to new potential members, engaging new activist members, creating an "elevator" speech to promote LWV membership
League delegate counts are proportional to the number of League members. Any League or MAL Unit may send as many observers is it would like. Leagues that have not filled their delegate count may authorize such observers to act as their delegates.
Registration for the Convention, including continental breakfast and buffet lunch is $30 through June 4 and $35 after June 4. Payments can be made online with PayPal or by check made payable to LWVCT, Inc and mailed to LWVCT, 1890 Dixwell Avenue, Suite 203, Hamden, CT 06514-3183.
