Cameron J. Camp, Ph.D.
PRESENTATION TOPIC: PATHWAYS TO CARE
Dr. Cameron Camp is a noted pyschologist specializing in applied research in gerontology. He currently serves as Director of Research and Development for the Center for Applied Research in Dementia. Dr. Camp gives workshops on designing cognitive and behavioral interventions for dementia internationally. These interventions are all designed to reduce challenging behaviors and increase the level of functioning of persons with dementia. He has co-authored three college textbooks and published over 150 peer-reviewed articles and chapters. Dr. Camp is Fellow and past president of Division 20 (Adult Development and Aging) of the American Psychological Association, a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America, and a Charter Member of the Association for Psychological Science.
PRESENTATION TITLE: WHERE ARE THE ROADS LEADING US? LATEST TREATMENT AND RESEARCH
W. Patrick Gahan, M.D., is a board certified geriatrician. Dr. Gahan is the medical investigator for the Institute for Dementia Research & Prevention and has research interests in blood pressure and polypharmacy as it's related to the elderly. He is an adjunct faculty member of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center.
PRESENTATION TITLE: ROUTES TO RESOLVING DISSENSION: WHAT TO DO WHEN FAMILIES ARE AT ODDS WITH A LOVED ONE'S CARE
Katherine S. Verberne, LCSW, is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Social Work with a certification in gerontology. She is the social worker for Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite, LA, where she provides support, education, and resources daily to individuals on aging in place, cognitive impairments, anxiety, depression, and adult ADHD.

Speech Language Pathologists & Audiologists: A total of 6 hours of continuing education in a related area is Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology acceptable.
Occupational Therapists: A total of 6 hours of continuing education have been approved by the Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association.
Activity Therapists: A total of 6 hours of continuing education have been submitted to the NCCAP for Certified Activity Directors & Certified Activity Consultants.
