Running a business today requires knowledge of this ubiquitous software. Even if your company is not one of the overwhelming majority who use Microsoft Excel internally, your clients may want to share their files with you.
Excel is typically used for creating spreadsheets and databases. In this beginner-level workshop you will learn through patient and professional hands-on interactive training and exercises how to make Excel perform common numerical calculations, and more. When using Excel in your small business, working with formulas is not only valuable for everyday administration; it is essential knowledge for getting the most from your data and helping your clients understand theirs as well.
In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to create an Excel worksheet from scratch, including data, labels, and formulas, plus how to create the formulas required to perform commonly used calculations on numerical information.
At the start of the class, a file will be loaded onto your own laptop, one that you will save and keep, so you can go back later and review what you’ve learned.
To participate, bring your own Windows laptop – which must have a USB port – with its battery charged, and with Excel loaded. The material presented in this workshop is the same for any version of Excel from 97 through 2016 and 365.
