Unlocking Your Child's Brave Voice: Parent Training Workshop

Unlocking the potential of your child with Selective Mutism takes knowledge, time, and work on the part of parents.  This intensive training weekend helps parents become more effective elicitors of speech and provides hands-on practice!  Learn to maximize your "brave practices"!

The small group parent training allows for an enriching setting in which parents can learn from and get advice from an expert in the field of Selective Mutism.  This weekend traning format makes attending the workshop reasonable for those traveling from a distance and financially possible for some families that may not otherwise be able to afford individual psychotherapy with a Licensed Psychologist. It provides an excellent intensive training opportunity for families currently in psychotherapy.  Most importantly, the child's confidence will improve through consistent application of the techniques presented in the training and parents will be more effective!

Date - Saturday April 22 (9am-4pm) and Sunday April 23 (10am - 2pm).  Parent(s) attend Saturday alone and with their child with Selective Mutism on Sunday. **

Cost - only $350 per family for a full weekend of learning!

On Saturday, parents will learn how to:
- Help your child make gains in speech
- Deal with setbacks
- Set appropriate goals
- Develop an effective reward system
- Gain school support and services

On Sunday, parents will be given the opportunity to practice these skills with their children alongside Katelyn Reed, M.S. of Thriving Minds Behavioral Health, an expert in the treatment of Selective Mutism!

**Parent(s) only attend Saturday's workshop, and bring their children to Sunday's clinical practices.
Parent(s) must attend both the Saturday and Sunday session.  While it's preferable for both parents to attend the weekend training, individual parents are always welcome.
