Dominic was only 17 when his life was cut short by sudden cardiac arrest playing basketball, 10 years ago on October 5th 2009. What happened to Dominic was preventable. With the support of family and friends the Dominic A. Murray 21 Memorial Foundation was founded in year 2010 to ensure that what happened to Dominic doesn't happen to another child. DomHeart21 is committed to expanding programs to ensure that no child is at risk of preventable sudden cardiac death due to lack of youth heart screenings, CPR-AED training or life saving AEDs.

Our Mission: The Dominic A. Murray 21 Memorial Foundation (DomHeart21) is committed to expand free and affordable heart screenings, CPR-AED training and access to lifesaving AED devices in communities so no child is at risk of preventable sudden cardiac arrest related death due to lack of screening, training or life-saving equipment. To date, the Foundation has accomplished the following, in an effort to save lives: screened 4,950 young hearts for potentially fatal conditions; resulting in 91 lives changed. CPR-AED trained 11,000 lives and installed lifesaving AEDs in underserved neighborhoods ensuring communities are heart safe. The Foundation continues to advocate for legislation to educate the public on sudden cardiac arrest and preventable sudden cardiac death. #saveachild2021 domheart21.org
