Fall 2018 Confirmation Class Registration

Welcome to the Fall 2018 Confirmation Class at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. We are honored to share this journey with you and your children.
Our mission at AHUMC is to partner with God in bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth by making disciples of Jesus the Christ. We recognize and celebrate that both you and your child are investing time and energy into that partnership for the Kingdom of Heaven.
This fall, the confirmation experience at AHUMC will look different from years past. We have changed our format in the hopes of providing a more meaningful and manageable experience for both our students and their families.
We will meet on Sunday evenings starting August 26 and ending November 25 from 5:00 - 6:30pm in the Seminar Room (W100-101) on the first floor of the west wing. For the first five sessions, confirmands will learn and dialogue together around topics such as the Cross, church history, and the sacraments.
Beginning with our 6th session on October 14, our confirmation class will merge with STARS: An Introduction to AHUMC for 6 weeks of intergenerational learning and dialogue around the mission and core values of our church (Sonship/Daughterhood, Text, Action, Relationship, and Spirit). Each of our 11 sessions will be facilitated by both the AHUMC pastors and the Student Ministry staff.
