Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright visits the Nixon Library on July 21!
Dr. Madeleine K. Albright was the 64th Secretary of State of the United States. In 1997, she was named the first female Secretary of State and became, at the time, the highest ranking woman in the history of the U.S. government.

On July 21, the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum will host former Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright for a conversation and book signing event in conjunction with the exhibit Read My Pins: The Madeleine Albright Collection.

Read My Pins: The Madeleine Albright Collection Exhibit
July 11, 2015 to September 27, 2015
The Read My Pins exhibition will showcase over 200 pins and brooches from the collection of former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Secretary Albright wore distinctive jewelry to communicate certain messages during her diplomatic tenure.
The exhibit illustrates how jewelry conveys meaning in a diplomatic, political and social setting. Visitors will learn about the collection's historic significance as well as the expressive power of jewelry and its ability to communicate through a style and language of its own.

Conversation with Secretary Albright
Tuesday July 21, 2015 at 6 P.M.
In a conversation with Library Director Michael Ellzey, Secretary Albright will explore the exhibit, world affairs and her tenure as the first female Secretary of State. A "Question and Answer" session and a book signing will follow the conversation.
