2023 Supportive Housing Summit Call for Proposals Application

The Florida Supportive Housing Coalition is seeking proposals for workshops, panel discussions, and keynote presentations for its 7th Supportive Housing Summit, Shaping the Future. Shaping the Future will be held Tuesday, September 12th through Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 at the Embassy Suites, Lake Buena Vista South, Kissimmee, FL.

If you would like to share your knowledge and experience to help FSHC and Summit attendees Shape the Future of supportive housing in Florida, read the following information regarding the Summit and apply by June 1, 2023.

In general, we are looking for proposals to provide learning opportunities to inspire attendees to develop, operate, support, and advocate for the expansion of quality supportive housing for persons with disabling conditions and special needs such as individuals with a mental illness or substance use disorder, persons with a developmental disability, youth aging out of foster care, seniors and veterans with special needs, and persons experiencing homelessness.

This year's Summit Shaping the Future is designed to focus on the role policy, funding, and advocacy play in the growth and success of supportive housing.    Examples of proposals could include presentations to improve attendees' knowledge regarding supportive housing development and or management, how to best serve tenants living in supportive housing or transitioning to supportive housing, and how to advocate with your community, local government or state officials, and foundations to fund supportive housing.

Please note the examples above are only examples and all ideas are welcomed and encouraged, We would like to hear from individuals with lived experience and the impact supportive housing has played in their lives.
