Often as towns and cities work to address planning and development issues, the fear of change can inhibit acceptance of new ideas. Strong Towns founder and president Chuck Marohn will discuss the Strong Towns perspective on city and town development, with a special focus on connecting economic resilience, citizen involvement, wise land use with housing availability and affordability.
Marohn is a Professional Engineer (PE) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). He has presented Strong Towns concepts across North America and in 2017 was named one of the 10 Most Influential Urbanists of all time by Planetizen.
