Farm Succession Planning Workshop for
Farmers & Landowners
Join us for a FREE, interactive workshop to help Rhode Island farmers and landowners plan for succession and tranfer including options, resources, and steps to help you plan for the future of your farm business and/or farmland when you retire.
Why plan for the succession of your farm? Who should you involve and steps to take to facilitate a family discussion? As well as tax and financial considerations and strategies, estate planning options and strategies. Plus learn about legal resources that are available.
Join us for this free workshop for information on how to transition your farm to the next generation or owner. Learn about estate planning, lease arrangements, preservation options, and more.
Who should attend? Farmers, farmland and forest landowners of any age, as well as junior generation. It’s never too early–or too late–to plan for your future and the future of your farm.
Local refreshments will be served at 5:30pm. Workshop begins at 6:00pm. Registration is required.
