A fun wine tasting and shopping event in Downtown Clayton brought to you by the Clayton Chamber of Commerce!

Sip + Shop guests will visit 20 participating businesses in Downtown Clayton and sample a different wine at each location. Shopping discounts, special events, and entertainment will also be provided by additional Clayton merchants. A multi-seat golf cart will be available for easy transport between participating businesses. Come join the fun. We can't wait to see you!

 At check-in (located at 301 E. Main Street), guests will:

• have their IDs checked by Clayton Police Department
  
• be given a wine glass
• be given a wristband to wear (must have this to taste wine)
  
• be given a map/list of participating businesses
• be asked to sign the waiver below

This event is part of the NC Main Street Conference and will also be open to the public.

Note: The last check-in point at Stop #1 (the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, 301 E. Main Street) will be at 8:30pm to allow you time to get to a few other stops before the end of the event.

You and your guests will be asked to sign this waiver at check-in.

"As a guest of the Sip + Shop event, I recognize the Town of Clayton's laws and ordinances and agree NOT to take my wine OUTSIDE a participating business establishment or walk with wine inside my open glass on the streets of Clayton. I will use the containers provided by participating businesses to discard my wine (if needed) prior to leaving each business. I understand that the consumption of alcohol has a risk of impairing judgement, and therefore may result in injury and/or harm. I assume responsibility for the amount of alcoholic beverages consumed. I am assuming all risks associated with walking, consuming alcohol, and any other participation in this event. Having read this waiver, I release and agree to hold harmless the Clayton Chamber of Commerce and its employees and volunteers, the Clayton Police Department, all entities serving alcohol, the Town of Clayton and its employees and volunteers, the Clayton Downtown Development Association volunteers, as well as sponsors, other volunteers and employees associated with this event, and its agents from any claims arising out of injury or harm."
