A Leadership Program for Developing High Quality Programs in African Languages
Description
How do you develop a high quality Program in African Languages? What do performance assessments look like? What do you want learners to understand, know, and be able to do by the end of your program? This institute guides Leaders through program development of curriculum, assessment, and instruction focusing on key performances aligned to recurring themes in your major, program, or course. Using Backward Design, leaders will come away with tools to design their program for communicative performance using real world tasks in meaningful cultural contexts. Leaders will also learn administrative issues and tasks consistent with directing a PAL. The Institute concludes with presentations of their curriculum plan and next steps for implementation.
