Guest Speakers:
Stephen Hanks, PE
Senior Engineer

Mr. Hanks is an environmental engineer specializing in water quality restoration and waste cleanup, and with 13 years of industry experience. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors Degree in Water Resources Engineering and a Masters Degree in Soil and Water Science. He has remediated numerous waste cleanup sites across Florida, Central America, and the Caribbean; with a specialization in risk assessment, fate and transport analysis, LNAPL recoverability analysis and optimization, large portfolio liability due diligence, and environmental forensics. He has recently completed an LNAPL recoverability analysis that was the basis of a No Further Action with Conditions request for a site, that will likely become one of the initial sites closed in Florida with residual LNAPL remaining in place. The following is a summary of the approach that was taken.
