4th Annual Painters Paradise

It’s the 4th Annual Painters Paradise Community Street Fair 2013!

(Sunday, April 21st, Noon to 5pm…35th St. & Broadway in Oak Park)

This year’s event is going to be bigger and better!

For those who’ve never been, it’s a fun family festival featuring music, food and a lot of great artists plying their craft.

And this year we’ve added much more!

The day starts off with a moving vocal performance by the one of the best church choirs in Oak Park.

From there, guests will be able to stroll past or stop to watch the various local artists/painters at work at their easels as they paint one of the 3 created "scenes" featuring live models. And this year, attendees will be able to pull up a chair to watch an art demo from some of Sacramento’s finest artists!

All day long, a classic car show with over 20 custom rides from the 1920s through the 1960s will be on display.

For the kids—the popular Kid Zone (with bounce houses and face painting) is back.

But there’s more!

On the big stage, musical acts Cold Shot and headliner East Wind will be performing their brand of funk and soul music throughout the day.

We will also be featuring an “American Idol style” talent show we’re calling The Vocals…Off Broadway, with area vocalists belting out the hits.

competition And, new onstage this year…the popular Jodama African Dance and Drum Group will perform!

In addition, audience members will be able to enjoy the performances under the comfort of The Big Top! That’s right, we’re raising a huge tent that will span half the block at 35th and 4th Ave.

Hungry? We’re lining up some of Sacramento’s popular mobile food trucks (Foodmob), J-Doggs and Tacos Chavinda.

As always, there'll be numerous Non-profit Organizations offering information to the community.

The Oak Park Business Association, which was created to support the community and promote the business corridor of Oak Park, is the sponsor of this event.
