The Empty Bowl has a new format (drive-thru) and a new location (FredNats stadium) for us to be covid-safe. Your support of this annual event helps Empowerhouse fulfill its vision to create a diverse network of community members working together to promote safe relationships, home and communities. We are going to miss getting together with everyone and seeing the smiles on your faces after selecting your personal favorite from all of the beautiful bowls, as you taste your way through the soup line, and as you enjoyed an evening of conversation and music.

This year, we are emphasizing being Covid-safe and are changing things up. Please continue your support for Empowerhouse and let your empty bowl be a happy surprise this year. We will select your bowl, package it with a restaurant coupon, sweet treat, and an event program. Tickets are $60 each.

Your pre-packaged bowl will be available for pick-up at our Covid-safe, drive-thru event on January 31, 2021. Pick-up time will be sent via email after purchase for Individual Tickets. Delivery times will be arranged with sponsors.

Following the purchase of your sponsorship and/or event ticket(s) for the 22^nd Empty Bowl Fundraiser on Sunday January 31, 2021 you will receive two emails:

1. Within 30 minutes, you will receive an email receipt for ticket registration or sponsorship.
2. Within 48 hours, your will receive further instructions for attending our drive-thru event with your printable tickets (or instructions for receiving your party packages if you are a sponsor).
   1. Please read and follow the instructions for receiving your bowls. YOUR PICKUP TIME WILL BE IN THIS EMAIL.
   2. Please print this email and BRING IT WITH YOU TO THE EVENT.

Fredericksbsurg Nationals have called the FredNats Stadium “the community’s stadium.” In living up to that sentiment, they’ve opened up their hearts to Empowerhouse to welcome the 2021 Empty Bowl drive-thru event to their home. Here are some of the ways your support can help survivors find hope and healing on their journey to safety and dignity:

• $45 - One victim of domestic violence and her/his children to begin their journey from fear and isolation to freedom by calling the Empowerhouse 24-Hour Hotline and starting their safety journey with an advocate.
• $80 - One night of shelter and services for a woman and a child to stay at the Haven Shelter.
• $200 - One woman can access the 24-Hour Hotline and then complete a cycle of educational support groups to aid in the recovery from domestic violence and help her to achieve hope and freedom (3 months or longer).
• $210 - Pays for a child to attend the weekly forgotten victims educational support group (3 months or longer).
• $275 - Prevention: to educate one class at area middle or high schools with a presentation on teen dating violence and healthy relationships.
• $340 - Supports one domestic violence victim through the civil and/or criminal court system. (The duration of this process may be months and sometimes years.)
• $675 - The entire stay and services at our domestic violence shelter for a child exposed to domestic violence while accompanying mom (average stay is 1 month).
• $1,000 - Pays for a survivor of domestic violence to be safely sheltered, to obtain a protective order, and return home.
• $1,500 - Pays for shelter and services to support one family to obtain safety during their shelter stay and move toward independence.
• $4,000 - Helps us to move one family experiencing domestic violence into their own housing, an initiative toward sustaining them with services and rental subsidies until they achieve financial stability and function independently of charitable community support.
