          Beech Party

What do exceptional people, extraordinary aircraft and a fabulous venue have in common?  That would be Beech Party!  Perhaps the word has not made it to your neighborhood, but everyone is invited!  Whether you own any brand of aircraft, are a passionate aviator or an enamored enthusiast, please come to Tullahoma on the third week of October.

You will find all ages of aircraft, from vintage biplanes through modern turboprops, and everything in between.  Last year’s gathering included Cessna, Cirrus, Fairchild, Luscombe, New Standard, Stearman and Piper as well as Travel Air, Staggerwing, Twin Beech, Bonanza, Baron, T-34 and King Air.

This will be the first year to feature the museum’s newest division, the King Air Society.  Coincidentally, this is also the King Air’s 50th Anniversary.  Additional guests include our friends from the Duke Flyer’s Association, who are holding their annual convention in conjunction with the Party.  And, our favorite airshow celebrity Julie Clark will perform a special show for our guests only.

Many activities are offered throughout the event, including professional Exhibits and educational Seminars from industry leading companies, respected restorers, and knowledgeable technicians.  Perennial favorites including the Paper Airplane Contest, Book ClubWine Tasting and phenomenal meals prepared by Award Winning Chefs return with newer and more exciting camaraderie and, in some cases, competition.

Although area hotel accommodations number 3,000 rooms, Beech Park provides space for both tent camping and recreational vehicles, on the museum grounds.  Included are private bathrooms and showers for the campers only, and a pavilion for gathering and cooking, especially for breakfast.  Transportation is “on your own” with several options available for car rental, including pickup and drop off on the grounds.

Airport amenities include two Grass runways (9/27 @ 2,700’ x 100’ and 18/36 @ 2,100’ x 100’)  and two paved runways with GPS, VOR, and NDB approaches (6/24 (5,500’ x 150’) and 18/36 (5,000’ x 100’).  Fuel Service is provided by Jet-A and Avgas fuel trucks or self-service pumps, and Aircraft Maintenance is only a phone call away.

Join the ranks of those who have thoroughly enjoyed this event for 40+ years!

We look forward to seeing you!
