FEMA Applicant Agent Certification Course
The Kentucky Emergency Management Recovery Branch is proud to announce the implementation of its Applicant Agent Certification Program.
This 28-hour certification course will enable your designated Applicant Agent to maximize federal disaster-related funding associated with the FEMA Public Assistance Program.
Certified Applicant Agents will be better prepared to ensure your devastated county or city is included within a presidential disaster declaration. This course will include information regarding Public Assistance such as disaster project management and tips on how to avoid de-obligation of federal funding on projects. Other topics include: Individual Assistance, Volunteer Coordination, 404 and 406 Hazard Mitigation, and other potential funding sources.
Instructors for the course are James H. Lewis, Jr., Jessica Mitchell, and Geni Jo Brawner.
