R.E.A.D. Dog Days of Summer

Join your fellow R.E.A.D. teams for an evening of

fun, ideas, information, and networking.

We have a wonderful evening planned for you at the R.E.A.D. Dog Days of Summer.  I am thrilled to tell you that at this event you will get hear from two fantastic speakers:

  • Jeannie Larson, PhD, Manager of Nature Based Therapeutics, University of Minnesota
  • Kathy Klotz, Executive Director, Intermountain Therapy Animals & R.E.A.D. Headquarters, Salt Lake City, Utah

Our main topic for the evening will be relationships.  What makes a great therapy team is the relationship between the handler and the therapy animal.  What makes a R.E.A.D. session such a wonderful and effective activity is the relationship between the reader, your therapy animal, and you.   This evening we will be discussing ideas for balancing, deepening, and strengthen that relationship even more.

We will also be sharing ideas and techniques for enhancing your R.E.A.D. interactions.  There will be time for an open mic for sharing of your ideas, too.

And, to make the night even more exciting, we have a great assortment of prizes to give away, items to purchase from R.E.A.D. Headquarters, and an absolutely gorgeous doggy themed handmade quilt to raffle as a fundraiser.

We are delighted to be able to offer this event to you at no charge.  However, due to the expense and preparations for this meeting, please register only if you are sure you can make it.  Thank you!
