What is Outcomes Focused Practice and how can this process help me improve outcomes on behalf of children and youth in Adams County? Who is ACYI and how can ACYI support me along my journey?

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This session will provide participants with an overview of the ACYI Partnership and the work that ACYI supports. ACYI utilizes Outcomes Focused Practice, which Continuous Improvement is one piece of. Participants will be introduced to the Continuous Improvement process and to basic tools that are key to the practice.

This workshop is a prerequisite for several advanced Institute Continuous Improvement workshops, such as 'LEANing Into Results Based Work.'

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Cross-sector practitioners and individuals who work with children and youth in Adams County and/or are working to improve outcomes on their behalf. Individuals, groups, and organizations interested in learning about continuous improvement.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?

Pen and notepad to take notes with. We will provide light snacks.

FACILITATED BY? Becky Hoffman

Becky serves at the CEO of ACY, where she oversees strategy and operations for accelerating the progress of the ACYI Partnership to change systems, eliminate disparities and overall improve educational outcomes for all students. Becky joined the team in 2009 as the Manager of Community Initiatives, leading youth, family and faith based engagement and provided key leadership in transitioning ACYI from an unincorportated federally funded grant to a stand alone non-profit in 2011. Prior to her work at ACYI, Becky served as Youth Prevention Services Supervisor for the City of Aurora where she led the adoption of the "America's Promise" framework focused on the success of children and young people and managed youth school and community based programs. Drawing upon her passon for improving opportunities and outcomes for underserved young people, Becky has made her career in the social and local governmeent sectors, including international experience in Australia and England. Becky earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management from the Unviersity of Iowa and holds an Event and Project Management Certificate from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. Becky is trained in Results Count™ and LEAN from Denver Health.
