Thank you for your interest in the 2010 Silent Sentinel Award Reception which will be held from 7:00-10:00 pm on May 12th at the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority’s 95-acre premier facility, Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, 9750 Meadowlark Gardens Court, Vienna, Va. The park will be in full bloom and can be easily seen from the glass-walled Atrium that features a two-thousand square foot skylight, indoor stream and fountain. “Washingtonian Magazine” voted the venue the top-ranked garden site in suburban Washington (http://www.nvrpa.org/parks/meadowlark/?pg=theatrium.html.)
This is a fundraising event for the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial. The memorial will be located in Occoquan Regional Park in Lorton, Va., and will pay tribute to the women who endured harsh imprisonment to secure voting rights for women.

WUSA9-TV reporter, Peggy Fox will serve as mistress of ceremonies. The evening’s program will wrap up with the debut of the memorial’s conceptual design by architect Bob Beach.
