SARS Tax Practitioners Meeting 14 November 2012

Hosted by - SAICA West Rand District Association

 

 

SAICA West Rand District Association hereby invites you to our every alternate month SARS Practioners Meeting. In attending you will qualify for 2.5 hours of verifiable CPD. We are also trying to collate similar tax issues/problems to be address at SAICA's Tax Committees via these sessions.

This event is open to all Tax Practitioners and not only SAICA Members.

PLEASE NOTE:

For security reasons only attendees who booked and who's name appear on attendance list  will be allowed access.

About the event
This particular event will build on previous events to establish and maintain the working relationship between SARS and practitioners.

Tax training will also form part of the afternoon.
SARS's Roodepoort Branch Manager, Aggie Makgatlhe, will discuss some of the queries received via e-mail before the meeting (see e-mail address below). Some time will also be offered for questions.

The previous meeting received very few queries in advance - please ensure that you send all problems with examples in advance. Queries raised at the meeting can thus only be resolved later. DON'T COMPLAIN IF YOU HAVE NOT SENT YOUR QUERY / PROBLEM IN ADVANCE!

On a spreadsheet please document as follows under headings:
  • Tax practitioner number
  • Type of tax
  • Taxpayer ref number
  • Taxpayer Name
  • Description of problem/query
  • Dates
  • Types of SARS communications
  • Name of person dealt with
  • What do you want SARS to do
Note that should your query not be received in the format indicated above, it will not be dealt with at the meeting.

  1. No shows on the day of the event will be charged R100 or not allowed to attend again / be removed from the database. A substitute delegate is welcome at no extra cost.
  2. You may cancel your registration, in writing, up to 7 working days before the event takes place.
  3. SAICA West Rand District reserves the right to change the presenter, venue or cancel any event.
  4. If you do not receive communication - outlining participation details - after registration, please contact SAICA West Rand immediately.
  5. Right of admission is reserved - only registered attendees will be allowed.
