Join us for the 29th annual Utah Geographic Information Council conference at Bryce Canyon, UT!  From seasoned GIS professionals to new and upcoming students, this conference will provide an opportunity to grow your GIS knowledge base and expand your networking reach. Geospatial experts will hold workshops and presentations that are guaranteed to elevate individual GIS cognition in our rapidly changing field. The event is packed full of great presentations, workshops, vendors and opportunities to advance your GIS skills and learn from other GIS Professionals.

The event will be held at Ruby's Inn at Bryce Canyon! Located just a few minutes north of the entrance to Bryce Canyon National Park, considered to be one of the most scenic locations in Utah. With plenty of opportunities for hiking, biking and viewing scenic vistas, Bryce Canyon is always a favorite UGIC destination!

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP TRAINING DESCRIPTIONS

Virtual Attendance:

This year, we will have a virtual registration option for those who wish to attend virtually or cannot attend in person. Virtual registration will cost $100 and will include access to a live stream of the opening and closing plenary sessions, selected live-streamed breakout sessions, and a conference shirt! If you attend virtually, be sure to include your mailing address in your registration so we can mail your shirt to you.

Lodging is open now - We have secured rooms at Ruby's Inn at the rate of $80 plus tax for the conference, a great deal! To reserve your rooms please contact the hotel directly:

Meals at the Conference:

Pre-Conference Training Meals:  Lunches and breaks are included in the pre-conference training prices for full-day workshops. Breakfast is included for those staying at Ruby's Inn.

Conference Meals:  Lunches and breaks (morning/afternoon) are included Wednesday through Friday. Breakfast is included for those staying at Ruby's Inn. In addition, there will be a vendor social on Wednesday evening with appetizers / finger -food and a BBQ dinner/show on Thursday evening. Both evening events are optional but are included with registration.

Conference Shirts:

This year, the conference shirts will be VINTAGE FLANNEL! Both men's and ladies' styles are available. See the styles below. Please note that the women's shirt sizes run a bit small, so please consider ordering a size or two larger than you normally would.

Getting to Bryce Canyon: 

To Bryce Canyon from Salt Lake City and Points North:
Take I-15 South to State Route 20 in Iron County (Exit 95). Follow Route 20 south for approximately 20 miles to US 89. Turn right and head south on US 89 for approximately 10 miles. Turn left in Panguitch to continue south on US 89 for approximately 7 miles. Turn left to go west on State Route 12 through Red Canyon. After approximately 13 miles, turn right to go south on State Route 63. Ruby's Inn will be about 2 miles ahead on the right.

To Bryce Canyon from Points East:
Take I-70 West, and exit at US 89 in Sevier County (Exit 23). Head south on US 89 for approximately 60 miles. Turn left in Panguitch to continue south on US 89 for approximately 7 miles. Turn left to go west on State Route 12 through Red Canyon. After approximately 13 miles, turn right to go south on State Route 63. Ruby's Inn will be about 2 miles ahead on the right.

 To Bryce Canyon from Points South:
