2019 Chicago Area Men's Retreat: Male in a Whale, the Sequel
Thirteen years ago our Men's Retreat used the story of Jonah and the Whale to spark our spiritual growth, make us laugh, and gain insight into the kind of men we want to be in the world. It is time for a return to this simple and complicated story.
In 2019, the themes from Jonah are even more relevant. This story invites us to think about the importance of:
- What is good and what is bad about our anger;
- How to find prayer and renewal time in our busy and sometimes stormy lives;
- Actions and decisions that move us toward God rather than away from God;
- How to relate positively with people who have different views or perspectives than us
All this and more is embedded in this short story from the Old Testament. As with all Lumunos men's retreats, you can also expect good food, lots of laughter, and the magic that happens when you jump off the hamster wheel for a few days. Join us at the Men's Retreat, where you can expect:
- a relaxing time with no pressures in a beautiful setting;
- meeting a great group of guys from around the Chicago area;
- an opportunity to talk about what matters most to you;
- a dynamic interaction between our lives and a Biblical story;
- a chance to grow and deepen your spiritual life;
