Positive Psychology Boot Camp Class
5 Weeks to Better Mental Fitness
with Deb Levy, M.Ed., CMC

Positive Psychology Boot Camp - 5 Weeks to Better Mental Fitness             Intensive Learning - Challenging Workouts - Serious Fun

Do you know something about Positive Psychology and want to learn more? Are you interested in using positive psychology interventions to help you or your clients feel more motivated and engaged? Are you ready to take on a new challenge and learn with an experienced positive psychology teacher whose enthusiasm and knowledge are energizing and contagious?

Then Positive Psychology Boot Camp is for you.
For people who want to build their happiness muscles and lead a more satisfying life.

In this intensive  five session Boot Camp class you will learn the foundational concepts in positive psychology and become familiar with the field’s most important research, including the study of character strengths, positivity,  the science of happiness, goal setting, optimism, gratitude and how to cope with stress. Students will be assigned a daily “workout” between classes and learn how to apply positive psychology interventions in their day-to-day life.  After boot camp, each participant will meet with Deb on the phone and develop a personalized workout they can use to 1) improve their mood and well-being 2) cope with stress and, 3) be more productive and motivated at home and work..

Two Boot Camp formats for people near and far
Teleconference class or Class meeting in Cambridge, MA

Teleconference Boot Camp Class (meets from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. EST):  Teaching and coaching over the phone is my favorite way to work with people: it helps everyone focus, be open and take risks they might not take in person.  The convenience of learning from your home or office is priceless and will connect you with people from near and far. (Previous participants have called in from Florida, New York, Chicago, Hawaii and Hong Kong, and other sites...) Teleconferencing creates a community where trusting connections form and last. Boot Camp teleconference participants receive weekly class outlines and workouts and have the opportunity to stay connected through a Facebook "Boot Camp" group. Plus, there's an option to record the Boot Camp teleconference each week so everyone can listen to class again and so participants who can't meet can still keep up and participate. This Boot Camp will be limited to 20 participants to ensure that everyone receives the time and attention they deserve.

Cambridge Boot Camp Class (meets  from 9:30 to 11 a.m. EST): Local friends, students and clients of mine know that my new favorite place to meet, eat and drink tea or smoothies is Life Alive Urban Oasis & Organic Cafe in Central Square in Cambridge, MA. I'm proud to be a Life Alive regular and thrilled to be able to hold my Boot Camp in this healthy and  beautiful environment. Owner Heidi Feinstein has generously offered us the café's semi-private groovy meeting space downstairs, and I can guarantee that weekly gatherings at Life Alive will uplift your mood and improve your mental fitness. Space is limited to 15 participants, and it will fill up, so sign up today.

Classes Start on Wednesday, May 4, 2011
Classes in both formats meet on May 4, 11, 18, 25 and on June 1

Cost: $200 (register by April 15);  $250 (after April 15). Fee includes 5 classes, class materials and a free individual coaching session via telephone valued at $150.
