Working with Sponsored Programs & Research on Proposal Submissions

Facilitators: Tiffani Hix, Shamaere Ashby, Amanda Buker, Rachel Meredith, Office of Research and Creative Activity

Abstract: The Office of Research and Creative Activity (ORCA) focuses on strengthening the University of Nebraska Omaha's (UNO) research, scholarly, and creative activity. Within ORCA, the Sponsored Programs & Research (SPR) team supports the UNO community through developing and submitting external funding to support these endeavors. This workshop will provide attendees with an overview of the process to submit a proposal for external funding. Specific topics of discussion are how and when to contact SPR after identifying a new funding opportunity and the services provided by SPR.  The workshop will also review the importance of the Uniform Guidance and the impact on ORCA and UNO policies and procedures. We will visit frequently asked questions and provide an opportunity for questions from the attendees.
