Join us for the Maryland Planning Commissioners Association's 2012 Annual Conference. This tyear's sessions and speakers will focus on the role citizen planners paly in making communities livable.
Whether newly appointed or experienced, all planning commissioners, planning board members and members of zoning appeals boards will benefit from this 2-day conference offering exceptional and timely learning opportunities. The annual conference is designed to build the knowledge base of citizen planners in Maryland and provide attendees a chance to network with fellow comissioners and ask questions of planning professionals. Sessions inlcude discussions of planning trends; a review of new legislation and regulatory decisons; and "how to" tips for becoming an effective commission or board member.

Broad Creek Historic District Tour

Planning Commissioner and Board of Appeals Training
The 2012 Conference will offer the Planning Commissioners Training Course for new planning Commissioners and Board of Appeal members. In additon to the core 3-hour course, an optional session on the new planning law will follow. This training is constructive for experienced commissioners as well as new appointees.
The training for Planning Commissioners and Board of Appeal members is offered every year during the conference at no charge. Those wishing to take the free training who are not attending the conference are welcome to register. Select the "Free Planning Commissioner and Board of Appeals Training Only: No Charge" option during online registration.
Full conference attendees who want to take the class will indicate on the registration form.
