Communities across Arizona are working together to address transportation funding needs. However many other public works and utility areas are in need of new investment, and the regional municipaliteis have limited financial resources to respond to the range of needs and opportunities. Additionally, existing state legislation limits some innovative financing tools, such as tax increment financing, that are allowed in other states.
Join us as we convene an Innovative Finance Discussion to address these issues and hear about national best practices such as: Pass-Through Financing, Transportation Reinvestment Zones, Regional Mobility Authorities, Toll Equity, Gas-Tax Indexing, and Alternative Project Delivery Methods that are being utilitzed to fund infrastructure in growing regions throughout the country. We will discuss how legislation in other states was enacted to create these financing tools, and offer multiple examples of how they led to successful outcomes.
