Every Child Can! An Introduction to Suzuki Music Education

Every Child Can! is a one day introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program.

The course is open to everyone (all instrumentalists, vocalists, educators, parents or interested individuals). No instruments are needed and materials will be provided. This course will be held from 9:00am-4:00pm with a one hour lunch break. Participants in this course are highly encouraged to register for the Suzuki Association of Utah parent and teacher convention being held on February 24th-25th.

ECC is the introductory course in the Suzuki Method sponsored by the Suzuki Association of the Americas. The 6 hour course explores the philosophy and teaching methods of Shinichi Suzuki and modern teachers of the method. It is particularly useful for teachers or aspiring teachers who might want to pursue additional training in the Suzuki Method. The course is registered as a credential with the Suzuki Association and serves as the required introductory course for people who later choose to continue with the longer, instrument-specific training sessions.
