The Metal Element

Come join us for our next segment in the Five Element Workshop Series, where will be taking a 2010 look at the Metal Element! We'll be exploring what Nature is doing this time of year and how that energy is reflected in the human body through our meridian system - specifically that of the Lungs and Colon.

Among other things, Metal represents the archetype of the Father and gives us a sense of our own quality, self-worth, inspiration, connection to Spirit, breath, and the ability to let go of what is no longer serving us....let's explore together! Come to the workshop to find out more...
 
For those that were at the workshop last year, there will be new material being covered, including:
  • more on how the body/mind/spirit reacts when the Metal Element is out of balance
  • we will look at some case-study examples
  • through the lens of Chinese Face Reading, we will take a look at the Metal regions of the face
  • additional lifestyle suggestions for living in the Autumn season, as well as planning for Winter (and the Water Element)
  • additional acupuncture points and uses to look at
  • new layer onto the Metal qigong to strengthen the Element within us!
Discussion topics will include:
  • a brief look at the Five-Element cycle as a whole
  • the energetics of Autumn and the Metal Element
  • the pathways of the Lung and Colon meridians
  • the physiological functions on the body
  • the deep psycho-emotional-spiritual effects of the meridians and specific points
  •  lifestyle recommendations based on the Metal Element and principles of Chinese Medicine

Attendance at previous workshops not necessary. The information provided will be interesting and of use to anyone receiving (or interested in receiving) acupuncture, as well as those that want to learn more about the connection between Nature and our own body, mind, spirit.
