About the Presentation

   Through presentation, audience activities, and active participation in case studies and discussion, audience members will: 

• Understand the importance of INTERdependence rather than Independence;
• Learn practical strategies for helping an individual understand what having Asperger Syndrome means to them;
• Experience first hand some of the challenges facing individuals with autism and how to overcome them; and
• Become familiar with a three-step process for developing skills in successful self-advocacy.
