This course covers regulatory requirements for qualified rigger and signal person qualification requirements of sub-part CC – Cranes and Derricks in Construction.
Qualified riggers are required wherever workers are within the fall zone and hooking, unhooking, guiding a load, or doing the initial connection a load to a component or structure. Topics include: standards and regulations, qualification requirements, rigging and sling types, safe lifting practices, center of gravity, inspection and maintenance, standard hand signals, communication, and crane safety awareness.

He is currently a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and works as a Professional Safety Consultant and President of Gateway Safety Consulting, LLC. Caldwell is also a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), and the National Safety Council (NSC). He is also the designated third-party administrator for the local HBA/ROSSI OSHA Partnership Program.
