River Discovery present's Paddle Out Cancer – A Fun Float on the Boise River  -- Includes a poker run along the river, costume contest, and after float festivities at Ann Morrison where you can relax after your float, enjoy great music, eat fabulous food and win great prizes from our sponsors and vendors.

Why: A rafting event to benefit River Discovery. River Discovery is a 501(c)3 organization that provides free rafting adventures to youth, teen and adult cancer survivors that promote healing, and strengthen the mind, body and spirit.

When: Saturday July 20th, 2013
Early Bird registration until April 30 is just $10 per adult, $5 for kids under 14 - registration link below
May 1 - July 20th cost is $20 per adult, $10 for kids under 14.  To Register click link below!

Where: Launch at Barber Park 1pm and enjoy your float to Ann Morrison Park 3pm+
After Float Festivities at Ann Morrison park by the Old Timer's Shelter. Your registration bib gets you entry into the bib prize drawing and a food ticket.

Times: Check in begins at 12pm at Barber Park - Launch time 1pm
There will be free parking at Ann Morrison with Epley's providing shuttles (costs $3) from Ann Morrison to Barber Park. Driving to Barber Park, daily parking fee $6. Afternoon Shuttle services will be available via Epley’s from Ann Morrison to Barber park all day long (shuttle fee $3).

Finish and Final poker station located at Ann Morrison 

Registration is now closed - Although you can do a drop in registration at Barber Park Tomorrow from noon until 1pm after that we are on the river!!  Drop in cost $25


After Float Festivities and check out at the Old Timer's Shelter in Ann Morrison Park 3-7pm!!
(in order to receive your last poker numbers you must visit our check out area at the Old Timer's Shelter). 

There will also be food, drinks, music and PRIZES!!

What should I bring?

  • Kayak or other self propelled vessel-It’s a long swim.
  • Life jackets rules (State Law requires that all vessels, including rafts, kayaks and canoes be equipped with a personal flotation device for each person in the craft and children 14 years of age and younger, onboard vessels 19' or less, must wear an approved life jacket when the vessel is underway.)
  • Drinkable water for your float
  • Sunscreen
  • Wallet for party afterward
  • Feel free to bring your water cannons and super soakers, etc. And costumes for you and your boat  too!!
  • Need to rent a boat - BSU Outdoor Center will offer you 20% off with your POC registration.
