About the Competition

The Mid-Hudson Business Plan Competition has evolved each year with more representation from schools across the seven counties with passionate, sophisticated, and thoroughly researched presentations.   In the first year of the competition there were 16 teams from four schools. Since the inaugural event, there have been an additional  131 teams from 10 schools across the region who have pitched their ideas to a panel of judges which include angel investors, business consultants and community leaders.  The level of enthusiam generated by the students was enormous and the judges went above and beyond, offering free advice and consultation to the teams to help them further develop and launch their businesses.
