VSU is partnering with multiple organizations this year for sponsorship and support of the RED conference. Sponsors include VSU Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice, the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice, Virginia Department of Corrections, Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, the Virginia Juvenile Justice Association and the City of Petersburg VJCCCA Program.

The conference will focus on the exploration of solutions to address equity issues within the criminal justice system, education system, and the community.
The event will be held October 31 and November 1 at the Virginia State University Campus. Lunch will be provided both days. Cost of registration is $60 for the two-day event. If additional information is needed, Frances Brown is the Conference Chair and Tammy Blackwell Lee is the Registration Chair.
Conference Speakers include:
Valerie Boykin, Director Virginia DJJ
Harold Clarke, Director Virginia DOC
