About the film......

chasensChasensold hollywood

At one time Chasen's was the most famous celebrity hangout in Hollywood. Regulars like Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe, Alfred Hitchcock,  and Jimmy Stewart. Sinatra got drunk at the bar, Liz Taylor had their chili sent to Rome, Ronald proposed to Nancy in booth #2 then later dined there with Margaret Thatcher.  In 1995, Chasen's closed its doors after 60 years of serving their legendary menu to movie stars and visiting dignitaries, Presidents and the Pope.  During its final two weeks, the actors, producers, staff and management sat down for interviews.  To rave reviews, "Off the Menu"  recounts the story of this legendary era.
