Risk Management Training - Convergence of Risk Management and Information Technology

Information Technology (IT) Projects are getting exponentially larger, more complex and therefore riskier. This requires a new paradigm in managing the risks (known/unknown) in these projects. The new paradigm must involve considerations of the risk management discipline, integrated into the design, development, and execution of IT projects.
This training will familiarize participants with the concepts of risk management and all of its components, discuss the role of risk management in the Internet of things (IoT), and the convergence of risk management and information technology.

Brief Topics Overview:
  • How do you define risk and risk management?
  • Discuss the differences between business continuity and disaster preparedness.
  • Roles and responsibility of risk management in IT projects.
  • Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and big data: how can risk management assist?
  • Differences between risk management and risk governance
  • Case study review and analysis.
