Presented By: Michael T. Wixted, Emergency Services Specialist, Public Fire Protection
Michael Wixted is an Emergency Services Specialist within the Public Fire Protection Division of NFPA. His primary background is in Fire Protection Engineering with a M.Sc. from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland. Prior to the NFPA he worked in the area of Fire Safety Design at EML Architects in Limerick, Ireland. He was one of the principle technicians responsible for all fire safety endeavors within the company. Michael is a recognized member of the Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE). He currently focuses his efforts on the development of NFPA 921 and 1033. Michael works closely with the Fire Investigations and Fire Investigator Professional Qualifications Committees to continuously update these industry standards.
