Hume Lake Ponderosa Camp

Ponderosa is the flagship camp at Hume Lake for high school students.  At Ponderosa, you will hear the Gospel preached, be challenged through scripture, engage in awesome worship through music and get some time alone to process what God is doing in your life.  Hume Lake takes pride in its high energy recreation allowing kitds to be kids.

Please read the following information carefully and thoroughly.  Camp space is limited and it is critical that you follow the instructions carefully and meet all deadlines.

WHEN:  Depart Sunday, July 15, 2018 and return Saturday, July 22, 2018

WHERE:  Hume Lake Christian Camp just east of Sequoia National Park

WHO:  This trip is open to Saint Matthew Teen Ministry students who are currently in the 8th-12th grades (2017-18 school year).

COST:  Total cost for this trip is $675.  Students will need additional money for 2 meals on the road and some activities.  We suggest they also bring money if they want to purchase snacks, camp attire, coffee, etc.  There is a non-refundable deposit of $150.  The final payment for camp of $525 will be due no later than May 10.  All payments will be made through Constant Contact with a credit card.

REGISTRATION PROCESS:  We have 44 camper spots for Hume Lake this summer.  If there are more students interested in attending camp than there are spots, we will select students based on attendance.  We will count attendance for the past year from March 2017 through the end of February 2018.

Registration "closes" on March 8.  We will creata a camper list from the registrations we receive by March 8.

On March 15, we will send out an email to let you know if you have a camper spot or are on the waitlist.

If you have a camper spot, you will be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of $150.  You will have until March 22 to make the payment or the spot will go to someone on the waitlist.  If you have not already done so, you will also be required to complete the 2017/2018 Teen Ministry Registration and Medical Form.  (There is a $25 required registration fee.)

MANDATORY MEETING DATE:  All students participating in this trip MUST attend the pre-trip meeting on Thursday, June 28 at 7:45 p.m.  This is the meeting where you will sign up for camp activities, review the packing list, go over the departure day process and meet your cabin leaders.
