The Tristate Trauma Network is excited to be hosting its 2019 Fall Conference focused on trauma-informed care! Join us to learn from national and local trauma experts sharing their  innovative approaches. NEW this year: choice of morning sessions, interactive drumming presentation, targeted session for healthcare providers.  

CEU applications have been made for OH Counselors, Social Workers, MFTs; OH Nurses; and KY Counselors, Social Workers, and Psychologists. Aprroval is pending for these Boards. Tristate Trauma Network is an approved Category 1 provider in IN, allowing continuing education credit for Social Workers, MFTs, and Mental Health in the state of IN. 

This activity has been submitted to the Ohio Nurses Association for approval to award contact hours. The Ohio Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. (OBN-001-91)

"Trauma-Informed Care: Creating Cultures of Compassion"


Overall Objectives-1.Participants will gain an understanding of the human experience through the lens of The Polyvagal Theory

 2. Participants will understand how their behaviors contribute to creating cultures of compassion. 

 3. Participants will learn a variety of intervention and resilience-building techniques for working with individuals who've experienced trauma, applicable to different settings.

Featured Speaker: Emily Read Daniels,  M.Ed., MBA NCC,SEP™ in Training. Ms. Daniels has 20 years’ experience working with traumatized and vulnerable youth. She holds a Master’s of Education in School Counseling and a Master’s of Business Administration in Organizational Sustainability. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Somatic Experiencing™ Practitioner (SEP) in training. She is a trained Reiki practitioner and trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. She launched her own consulting firm HERE this NOW, to provide technical assistance to those seeking to become trauma-responsive. She trains and consults nationally and has developed her own approach to trauma-informed teaching called, “The Regulated Classroom: Bottom-Up Trauma-Informed Teaching.” Ms. Daniels will provide the keynote and two additional sessions during the conference.

Conference Cost:  $90 for TTN Members (with membership code entered into Promo Code field*) and $130 for Non-Members.

Scholarships for Consumers: There are a limited number of consumer scholarships available for the conference. We recognize that many who work in agencies are also consumers and fully support that as a critical piece of trauma-informed care. Due to the limited number, these scholarships are restricted to consumers who do not have the ability to pay. Please send us an email to request a scholarship application.  

*If paying by P.O. and in need of an Invoice, register as Pay By Check, include your PO number on the Registration form in desginated field and email your P.O. by October 1st. Make sure you also include an email address that an invoice can be sent back to at your agency. POs MUST BE RECEIVED BY OCTOBER 1st.
