 2021 Fall Conference:

"Building a Legacy Beyond Trauma-Informed Care: Bridging Historical with Current Practices"  

This year's Annual TIC Fall Conference will again be virtual, allowing us to welcome Dr. Janina Fisher for the afternoon keynote session AND to engage a national audience.  Please join us to learn from Dr. Fisher, who has authored and co-authored several books including her most recent, "Transforming the Living Legacy of Trauma: a Workbook for Survivors and their Therapists"; from a trauma survivor and from local experts. As always, members receive a discount. 

CEU Information: The OH CSMFT Board has approved this offering for 6 credit hours. The OH Department of Developmental Disabilities has approved this offering for 6 CPD hours.The KY Counseling Board has approved it for 6 hours also. Approval is pending for the KY Board of Social Work. Tristate Trauma Network is an approved Category 1 provider in IN, allowing continuing education credit for Social Workers, MFTs, and Mental Health in the state of IN. Up to 6.0 credit hours available. *Additional requests for other Board CEUs will be considered if requested 60 days in advance of the program. 

Keynote Speaker: Janina Fisher, PhD is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with 40 years in practice, as well as assistant educational director at Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute and a former instructor at the Trauma Center, an outpatient clinic and research center founded by Bessel van der Kolk. Known for her expertise on the treatment of trauma and dissociation, she is also an EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Consultant and former Instructor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Fisher has been an invited speaker at the Cape Cod Institute, Harvard Medical School Conference Series, Psychotherapy Networker, EMDR International Association, and many other conferences. She is co-author with Pat Ogden of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy: Interventions for Trauma and Attachment (2015) and the author of Healing the Fragmented Selves of Trauma Survivors: Overcoming Self-Alienation(2017) and Transforming the Living Legacy of Trauma: a Workbook for Survivors and their Therapists (2021). Dr. Fisher lectures and teaches internationally on the integration of research and treatment and how to introduce newer trauma treatment paradigms into traditional therapeutic approaches.
